That is why some call them "utopians". They believe their mythology. They believe that you can "speak it into being." That is what the advertising world does for a living and what Rove is a master at. But the lie bites the tail of the one that feeds it. They come to believe that by "speaking it" it become real. Unfortunately for spinners reality does not care a whit, and takes them out when they become so imbalanced: When the rhetoric does not match the reality at all.
