That’s high praise. It was extremely unusual also that he never once criticized POTUS attacking him in public.

The 2 big premises behind the Sessions betrayed Trump theory are

if Sessions hadn’t recused himself

1.Mueller wouldn’t have been appointed.

2. He could have prosecuted all the crooks behind Spygate a lot sooner.

There’s a strong argument to be made those two would have been the worst possible turn of events for his re-election.

If Mueller hadn’t been appointed McCabe and his small group is in charge of the Russia Investigation.

Prosecution of the plotters before his name was cleared in the Russia hoax would have been covered by the Fake News as a Banana Republic leader purging his enemies.

There would have been major defections from the Republican Congress on every agenda item including the Judiciary!

P.S. had posted earlier a list of dozen positives that came out of the Mueller Investigation - forgot the primary one - getting his name cleared by a notorious Swamp leader.
