Yes Institutional Buys but for who......my guess is SUNW. Why do the institutional accounts want to buy now after the worse than expected earnings and the denial by Novell that they are not for sale (to IBM). Somebody is accumulating shares at these levels....is it really the institutions that see the long term potential for Novell?

They could of bought all at much lower levels if it was a buy and hold strategy. No my guess is that several large holding accounts are buying Novell for some other purpose...on the open market.

Usually, the large blocks are negoatiated with the large third party shareholders (which may also be ongoing) but if that fails they buy in the open market. With the action in today's large blocks at the close today it smells to me like these accounts are still buying large chunks to add to their positions already purchased.

This type of trading is not typical for Novell...something is going on.
