All good points Eric. I'd like to see controls or filters so we can avoid the spammers, the political whackos and other assorted crackpots from just producing a new account every day. This is done on RB and Yahoo and is why they are largely a waste of time for those of us who trade most of the day. I think the owners here wish to create the best financial chat site. Perhaps limiting freebies by 1 to an IP and/or email, limiting freebie posting to financial, not coffee, threads, might eliminate the spammers and whackos. So far, it's not a major problem.

I haven't followed the Motley Fool board in a while. Does anyone know how they have fared since it became largely a pay site?
