You are assuming that the Hall of Fame is a haven for conservative thought and very pro war.

I would think the hall would have a slight conservative leaning but it would not be much of one. Mainly there would be a desire to keep really controversial people from the event to not have the politics become a destratction. I think they made a mistake in this case, making politics more of a distraction, but I think they had every right to do what they did.

My point in that statement was not about the HOF but more general. How do you reconsile "its unAmerican to exclude someone from a key event becuase you don't like who he voted for for president." with "And if you choose to walk into the opposition's camp......that you have to expect some serious objections." I think its worse for most forums to include people with controversial viewpoints and then treat them shabilly then to not include them in the first place. Either way your trying to keep them from being heard but if your invite them and then shout them down your also being rude.

Baseball is an all inclusive sport that goes to the heart of what is right about this country. To make it into a political venue I think is inappropriate.

I think that is why they made the ban. In at least a few people's opinion it would have become more of a political venue without the ban. However, I don't think their opinion that the ban would make things less political was correct.

Sorry, Tim, but liberals are not known for threatening people with force when they disagree.

Most conservatives aren't known for that either. But it happens from all sides including the liberals. Its not even close to being "bailiwick of conservatives".

I don't agree with the concept of reparations.

Well at least we can agree on something.

Tim
