This is a copy of a post by me ("boraymon" at IV, 11/15/'13. The 10K had just been released. There had been considerable confusion over an 8K that appeared about a week earlier.

"The 8K that preceded the 10K is just a synopsis of key information from the 10K. Thanks for the advance info, BSD M.!

The overwhelmingly important fact is that total sales for the year were up 77%, despite little to no sales income from the hyperthermia line. And, sales of the MTX line to Terumo did not begin until July.

Note that net sales to related parties and equipment rental for both 2012 and 2013 were about the same. So, product "Sales" actually doubled from about $1.61 million to $3.27 million. All? Mostly? from the MTX-180 line? Well, Sales of the hyperthermia equipment was little to none!

Interpreting the large increase in MTX-180 sales is complicated by the fact that much of the initial sales to Terumo would be for Terumo's selling activities -- demos and clinical trials. I think a Q or so would be necessary for end-user sales to develop.

Also, the new contracts for the hyperthermia line appear to be near activation (new marketing approvals expected soon). So, where is there any substance for a negative view of BSD M.'s prospects!

Caution: Be aware of an extended delay of Terumo's sales news. It might take a Q or so for Their sales to begin. The buyers will be hospitals and clinics, who will typically a) budget to b) buy later as c) the result of committee decisions after d) receiving input from the doctors who want to use the products. Ugh! "

BSD Medical has lately mentioned that they are now pursuing the South American markets for the MTX-180. And they are expanding their sales efforts in the U.S. (both direct and through distributors).

Their Chinese distributor for the large hyperthermia machines (the 2000 series) has obtained a limited renewal of the SFDA (Chinese FDA) -- and made a purchase recently. Various new contracts in Asia for these machines (all awaiting regulatory approvals -- will happen soon, IMO) all have specified minimum purchase levels, which total many times prior sales levels for that equipment. Their are numerous other new contracts for BSD M.'s products. Small wonder that BSD M. is predicting profitability soon (during 2014, is my guess). And, lots of exciting news along the way.
