Frank:

I appreciate the time you took to post your analysis of Iomega. However, I can't agree with your assesment. This stock is unlike any other I've ever seen. The revenue potential for Iomega, should it indeed become the replacement for the floppy disc is enormous. Using figures posted from last year when the company was basically in turnaround doesn't give sufficient weight to future revenues. Most sigificant is the issue of "tie ratio", ie the number of Zip discs purchased after the sale of the drive. Kim Edwards himself has stated that the company will not have a good idea of what the average tie ratio will be for another 24 months. But you can rest assured that a high profit margin has been built into the sale of each disc.

On another note, Young D.T. Nguyen's posts on Iomega have been intelligent and measured. True, he can't be sure whether you're a short, but I can tell you that as a long term holder of this stock, the shorts have repeatedly been proven wrong, and most seem to have an inadequate feel for the stakes here. Iomega represents a revolution in storage technology and consumer marketing.

Best,
MGSAM
