Well, he is actually from Libertyville, which is not at all the same as Chicago. But he was looking over my shoulder when I typed that last night. Libertyville is part of the northwest suburbs, about as much like Chicaco as Fairfax is like Washington, D.C. That is to say, almost nil.
I guess they both have Starbucks these days, stuff like that, but otherwise, no comparison. Libertyville is, or was at the time, a bedroom community, lots of trees and pretty houses. Marlon Brando went to Libertyville High, he was expelled for riding his motorcycle on the elevated track inside the gym. That is Libertyville's claim to fame. |
