Virginia has something California does not, real seasons.

Depends on what part of CA you're talking about. It's not all the endless summer beaches of SoCal. A lot of northern CA and the Sierra does indeed have real seasons. There is so much snow at Mammoth Mt. this year that they're extending their ski season until the 4th of July.
