I'm doing almost all my trading at E*Trade Raymond. E*Trade goes down a lot so you cannot always execute your trades as you desire but there are lots of other nice features.

One thing I like is they have software that keeps your tax work to a minimum. I hate figuring out gains and losses at the end of the year.

I guess what I'm saying is that online trading is not perfect so split your money up between a full service brokerage and an online service like E*Trade. You'll see advantages and disadvantages in both.
