Possibly an interesting open.

MU gets a minor bear hug freebie in latest Barron's. Neal Miller of Fidelity's New Millenium Fund, which holds a "healthy stake" in MU, likes it as a possible way to play the "voltage" angle and cites the fact that ASM Lithography has pledged "a significant portion of its near-term production to MU", which he believes could help it get a leg up on DRAM rivals.

Fine.

ASM Litho is a great company, but
A. the fact that it's the only U.S. producer of UV lithography equipment doesn't mean that competitors can't possibly shop elsewhere if they so choose
B. when does MU start production w/ the equipment and what's coming off it?
C. could competitors possibly already have similar equipment in place?

If you like MU based on your read of the "voltage" issue, you're probably making some long-term assumptions about how the Synclink (sp?) consortium v. Rambus(/Intel) will play out.

I'm more interested in what comes out of the meeting starting Wed. between the European Electronic Component Assoc. and the South Korean Semicon Assoc. re: ways to END anti-dumping measures against the SK's.

Good trading,

Tom
