my point is i believe i read an article about a year ago where aclu was getting federal dollars. the response to my post was they have a statement saying they do not take federal funds or to that affect. i did a google search find for example one foundation husband and wife team in calf. where their foundation not only donates money to private organizations such as aclu but lobbies congress for funds and programs. bottom line foundations get money from congress and pass it through to other groups who in turn use the money , in aclu cases to turn around sue the gov. with it's own money.
