It's not the first time an American President kisses Chinese dictatorial asses in promoting an Open-Door policy vs. China. FDR went thru the same motions in the 30's and 40's with Chians Kai-Sheck and the Soongs. We all know how it ended ... I wonder if the US has any contingency options in case mainland China breaks into 3 separate entities: Northern China, Southern (Blue) China and Xingkiang (Moslem). Tibet will go separate sooner or later.
