I had not heard this, but it would certainly make sense to Intel to do so from a hardware cost point of view, not to mention the PR benefits. [Of course, with the growth rates of NT workstations of late, I don't think any substantial EDA companies are not working hard on ports to NT, if they have not completed them already. Remember what happened to the market shares for DOS software vendors who were slow to port to Windows 3.0?]

If you find out anything definitive on this, please let me know.

You might also ask John Hull (of Intel) or Paul Engel, both of who often post on the Intel thread.
