Fingolfen, I can read the text, but I still don't understand how "incremental charges associated with the realignment of the Microelectronics Division, the agreement to sell the hard disk drive business, and workforce reductions" could make up $1.4 billion in charges. IBM should have *earned* money from the sale of their hard drive business, and reducing headcount might mean severance packages which are future costs, but how does IBM get $1.4 billion from that? I am simply curious, and would like to know.
