health system is not an answer to all problems. i expect dr sees her because if he didn't and something happen then dr could be held liable for refusing medical help. no way for dr to know ahead of time if this time its different. I have the same situation. sick wife, many problems however dr just monitors her , blood work to prevent clots, blood work to make sure she is in balance otherwise it is my responsibility to care for her. your mother could have legit problems but beyond medical knowledge to help out. They know chemical process, and can observe physical process but there is so much they do not have an answer for. i have lived through these frustration for decades. g
