Well, the guy was a salesman, after all. And I suppose you could categorize as useful product information to share with the potential customer the adjustments in the air bladders that might be appropriate under certain conditions. And I also suppose, too, that he might have been flattering me into a sale by suggesting that I might not be so far over the hill that I would have a need for such information... <g>
