Falconbridge Decision Tonight TORONTO, July 24 (Reuters) - Falconbridge Ltd.'s (FAL.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) board is reviewing competing takeover offers from Inco Ltd. (N.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) and Xstrata Plc (XTA.L: Quote, Profile, Research) and will make a formal recommendation after markets close on Monday. On a call to discuss second-quarter results, Falconbridge CEO Derek Pannell said, "the Falconbridge board of directors is reviewing and evaluating the terms of these offers and will provide Falconbridge shareholders with a formal recommendation as soon as it has completed its analysis, which is expected to be after the close of markets today." © Reuters 2006.
