The DNA evidence that either Jefferson or a close relative of his knocked up Hemmings is very strong. The DNA evidence that it specifically was Jefferson seems nonexistent, in fact in possible to obtain. I am not adverse to saying there is at least about a 50/50 chance Jefferson was the father of at least one of Hemmings children but I don't think anyone will ever know or even have really solid evidence that this is true unless some old documents turn up (which seems unlikely I don't think Jefferson every wrote about it, and I'm not sure Hemmings could even write, most slaves could not) or some one invents time travel...
