larry-- what pray tell did that have to do with TEXANS? and what is TEXANS? also, intel already had the microprocessor design wins necessary to get the ibm contract. their processor was copied by zilog, if i remember MIS 310 correctly. intel desinged the 8088 or one of its predecessors for a calculator produced by a japanese company. the zilog processor in question, the z80, is still in use today in a lot of applications. good luck to all, trey
