Peppe, after looking at today's action I strongly believe that NN's price is being manipulated by big Institutions such as Fido ( though I am not accusing Fido;just hypothesis ),ÿ for the purpose of keeping the price down so as to force TM to sell.
I suspect this because this AM, at the open, there were large block salesÿ that brought the price down and undid whateverÿ positive effect the USArmyÿ contract might have produced. Also at the end of the day, as price was surging up to 34, they immediately quashed it with sales; even though the Indices were surging.
I think that what is going on is this:
-TM and Pearse are having a VERY GOOD Q. -NN is undergoing quite a recovery in new orders, ÿ and successful tests. This is proven by the massive ÿbreakout in the last 10 days.We broke massively throughÿ ÿlong established resistance levels on no extra special ÿ news.ÿ ÿ I think these news were behind the curtain to Institutions ÿ who are always given the red carpet treatment comparedÿ ÿ to little Joe Blow investor. They bought MASSIVELY.
This is the good part.
ÿNow the bad part:
-I think that this is beginning to rekindle in TM ( and Pearse? ) ÿ hopes that maybe NN can go it alone; that good news will buoy ÿ the price long enough for a price recovery to occur ÿover the next ? 2 -3 Qs. Even if there is a small pullback ofÿ ÿ price to 24 +/-, so what; we've been there before ÿ8 times the last 5 years <vbg> and we survived. ÿThey may even have discussed this with Fido & co few days back.
-Problem is Fido & Co will have none of that -Fido &Co think that ÿ*only the strong survive. ÿ*long term it is doubtful that NN can do it alone. ÿÿ too much/too complexÿ new telco technology. ÿ* thus, one stop shopping is the name of the game. ÿ * their horizon is the next 5-8 years: NN has a betterÿ ÿÿÿ chance with somebody else.More money forÿ ÿÿ R&D;better management. ÿ*they already showed NN their strong feelings byÿ ÿ previously dropping the stock to 14+.
Besides... they already gave him 7 chances in the last 5 years.
So they are now putting the pressure on NN: " you must sell", or...else.
Proof of their power is that they will show him that they can keep NN's price at around 35, that's it, until he sells.
So, personally, I think this is great.
I agree with Fido & Co . ( does not happen that often, gg ).
So I am looking for fireworks in the nextÿ 2 weeksÿ as NN breaks all barriers above US$42 all the way to 50. ALA is at the top. Then TLBS. If we are lucky, we may get the bidding to continue asÿ others join in after the 1st bid.
The MOST important thing for the little guy I think is
DON'T SELL,
cheers,
TA

So perhaps you may be in a minority position now Peppe.
Now don't get me wrong. I loved trading NN. I'm currently long, at about $27.5. Strictly on t/a (yours was a big reason I looked into it again!), but certainly not because I believe in the NN story.
NN is too small to compete alone against the ERICYs, CSCOs, LUs and NTs of the world. Each of these companies has market caps in the hundreds of millions. NN won't see $10 billion.
So go NN !! Arrivederci to a great swing trader of a stock...
