U S West's !NTERPRISE Networking Deploys Ascend's IDSL.: "Ascend Communications, the market-share leader in remote access and Internet access platforms, has been selected to provide the MAX family of products for IDSL CO equipment, as well as IDSL customer premises equipment. A technological innovation from Ascend, IDSL provides continuous 128 Kbps data access to the Internet or corporate LAN by interfacing directly to the !NTERPRISE Frame Relay backbone, thus bypassing the traditional voice network and eliminating busy signals. !NTERPRISE currently relies on the Ascend MAX platform to provide connectivity for business dial-up and dial frame users.
