RIMM... I had last projected a measured move up to 180 out of a bullish pennant breakout Today we're seeing 124...down 18...and I'm holding calls.. Serves as a useful reminder: 1. Technical patterns can be misread.. 2. Even when accurately read...as I believe this pennant was...TA patterns can...and sometimes DO...fail.. 3. Options particularly risky...involving plays not only on price, but also time.. 4. Total holdings of options as a share of total holdings should be kept limited.. 5. Option holdings should be diversified...avoiding excessive holdings of one individual option.. Have always tried to follow points 4 and 5...and luckily did so in this case...
