VIX....popularly known as the "fear gauge" ....still below highs of this week, last week, and Jun 9....and far below the Mar high... FWIW...have always doubted whether VIX indicates "fear" or "complacency".. Simply indicates that volatility, while relatively high compared to year ago levels, is not here at any extreme level..
