RMBS (Neutral, $53): INTC To Drop RMBS From All Pdts Except Hi-End Wrkstations
EBN reported INTC will phase out the DR-DRAM-enabled 820 chipset in Q1:01,
cancel the yet-to-be-introduced 850 chipset in Q3:01, and may introduce a
DDR SDRAM-enabled chipset for desktop PCs.
Remaining RMBS chipset will be an enhanced 850 device, code-named Tehama-E,
which is targeted for high-end workstations and PCs costing more than
$2,000.

(2388.TT, Strong Buy, NTD233), MU - INTC's DDR-capable chipset is a
critical response to AMD's DDR-capable chipset, which has as much as a

chipsets which support the P4, but an INTC chipset allows INTC to
control its destiny.
