Well, I was wieghing two responses. I could have politely suggested that Jefferson would have recognized a free country, because that is what he dreamed of and fought for. But in the context that I was speaking of reasons why Jefferson wouldn't like America (because of the banking system), I am quite comfortable with the response I gave. But I do dread a prolonged battle that only serves as a torturous assault on the sensibilites of the regular thread members. For that, I accept admonishments. But I do not regret my decision.
