Kerry And Other Democrats Voted Against Funding For Protective Equipment

Only 12 Senators Voted Against The President's Supplemental Funding Request - 11 Were Democrats And One Was An Independent Who Caucuses With The Democrats. The following Senators voted against the $87 billion package, which included funding for improving body armor and uparmor-ing Humvees:

Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Robert Byrd (D-WV), John Edwards (D-NC), Bob Graham (D-FL), Tom Harkin (D-IA), Ernest Hollings (D-SC), Jim Jeffords (I-VT), Ted Kennedy (D-MA), John Kerry (D-MA), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), Pat Leahy (D-VT), Paul Sarbanes (D-MD).
