It's pretty clear that some people WANT the Haditha story to be true.

That they wear suits and ties does not particularly distinguish them from people who blow up a bus full of innocents in order to provoke a response.

I see it this way: 1) If the Haditha story turns out to be true, people who rejoice in it are contemptible. 2) If it's false, people who wanted it to be true (the same) are contemptible.

I personally believe that, once the facts are out, the incident will turn out to be no more than a horrible mistake at worst and at best a complete hoax.

If the story is completely true as alleged, the Marines are at very least deserving of equal or better treatment than the detainees at Guantanamo. Remove the leg irons, for God's sake!
