When we had that flood from an upstairs toilet that decided to have a broken valve while i was gone all day a few years ago, it was such a mess....ceiling gone, and a couple of walls, then all the other stuff....by the time we and they got all of the stuff packed up and out of the way, I'd forgotten some of what was where..... Thank goodness for pictures we had taken over the years....We could tell what was ruined and what we still had that way....Lots had been thrown away before we got to see it....

And yes, know what you mean about the economic mess we are all in....I'd even feel better a bit about it, if it hadn't started so long ago....1977 to be exact when Carter and Congress approved the CRA act....and everything was built on a bubble from there...there's plenty of blame to go around, including Freddy Mac and Fannie May heads and the Finance committees of both the House and Senate who were supposed to do their Oversight duties, and obviously did not.

Actually, I believe the Government would really like us to BUY some things, so that we could help stimulate the companies so they can stay in business.

As older folks, we have most everything we need, and our "wants" can wait for awhile... Problem for all of is the cost of basic services is so high and it makes it difficult on retirement incomes, to say nothing of having savings disappear before our eyes.

So many of both parties seem to think they can tax and spend continually, and have those of us who do pay higher taxes not feel it. They are wrong, and I think within a few months, more of Congress will start to realize it. We sure hope so, anyhow....!

Take good care of you! Best!
