I read this snippet in a recent article about network PCs -

"Larry Ellison (CEO, Oracle) began his career in Silicon Valley working as a programmer for such companies as Ampex Corp. and Amdahl Corp."

I found it interesting (amusing)! If I were to pick a current Ampex employee to be the next Larry Ellison, my vote will go to "Beverly Gooch"! Any seconds?
