LETTERMAN V. O'REILLY John Derbyshire The Corner I caught some of that -- the clips O'Reilly put on his show last night. (The whole thing is on the FNC website, but I ain't THAT interested.) Letterman was horrible -- sneering & rude, his entire attitude "Look what the cat brought in." This was showbiz lefty arrogance raised to the n-th power. What an ignorant jerk. O'Reilly was a gent. I have my problems with the Big Mick, with his pomposity and populism, but even Jonah would have been rooting for him in this encounter. My wife and I sat through one episode of the Letterman show a few years ago. Rosie took an instant strong dislike to the guy, and has refused to watch him since.
