Yes they don't keep you around much anymore. Pretty wild how quickly your out these days in fact.

When my mother-in-law developed throat cancer and had major surgery, we were visited shortly thereafter by the "social worker." I quickly learned it is the job of the social worker to find placement elsewhere and to free up the hospital bed.

Hope she's progressing well with her recovery. Make her some good soup this weekend.
