They were never criticized for putting-out press releases.

They were criticized for making promises that they didn't keep and, in one case, alluding to a non-existent takeover offer in an apparent (and successful, in the short-term) attempt to ride the coattails of another stock.

I can't imagine that anybody would criticize them for putting out press releases accurately accounting for their successes.
