You went from "dispute" to "fishy". Are you disputing that you're stretching?

Tenet and Powell's statements say CIA didn't have enough corroboration to feel comfortable with putting it out there. That doesn't mean they were disputing it. It doesn't mean they thought it was fishy - they apparently didn't feel comfortable with having such a single-sourced item of intelligence that was ambiguous. The British felt comfortable with it. Joe Wilson states in his book that his followup conversations with the Niger officials substantiated the claim that Iraq was seeking uranium.
