Dear Dave: It is good that those on this board can visit, especially while we await the future of our baby (MIDL). Your dad probably would say that he was ready. There was a war to win. But in my old age I believe that I would be a coward if I had to do it over. My prayer has been that my three sons and the sons of friends do not have to go to war...this I fear. I had little fear in the Army for myself but more for others, I enjoyed the challenge. I was not a Christian but later saw that God directed me not to continue reenlisting, I would not have come home from Korea. After the war we were not combat ready at all. My posts are memories of an "old man". I am the quiet no one notices type most of the time, except for my smile. To a great extent, I try not to boast but to share the past, present, future and extend my appreciation for the worth of each individual. Best and appreciation, Marshall W I MUST get my life memories into WP for my kids. I started a few weeks ago when a friend's son did an english paper on my life. This young man is spending his summer in missionary work in Mexico. We are independent Baptists.
