Women's voices are much different from men's voices-----as a result, their sounds in the treble area are difficult for some people to hear at rallies-----especially men.

Consider if this had been Obama-----he would have spoken like he was preaching at a church revival. He used that voice often during his campaign------with two words 'hope and change'. He could have easily been a carni (carnival) selling tickets to carnival shows.

Palin had some good lines----------one I particularly liked was her line about not wanting any of that "hopey and changey". Her substitution of the word bunk for bs----was a tell it like it is approach which the crowd liked.

Palin is capable of suiting her voice and demeanor to the occassion. That is one of her strong points in presentation.

A voice coach, sure why not, as long as the coach doesn't drastically change the messenger and the message.
