Attantion!,Newbridge was strongly mentioned in the radiowallstreet presentation about xDSL.(FCC clarification to telecom act) click on LU,SBC, etc. radiowallstreet.com The presenter was taking not about investment, but rather about FCC rules and RBOCs action. and what technology and company will benefit. RBOCs will go absolutely with ATM This is must listen presentation: again change in FCC rules will undoubtly result in significant investment in ATM infrastructure. In this presentation,was stated that for ADSL ATM is absolutely preffered and NN was mantioned as a company who has great presence in large services provider and less in CLECs space(ASND/LU). It was said that NN did not do to well recently, but now with RBOCs massive action starting in second part of the year 2000, NN is the smartest idea. What is most important, that 50 and 450 gig ATM switches which are perfectly set up for xDSL. now we should understand why NN during GAM in September 99, was so bullish about increase demand for ATM by large carrier.
