Evening News Ratings: Week of June 5 Mediabistro Charles Gibson isn't having a positive impact on World News Tonight's ratings, at least not yet. NBC Nightly News was #1 in all categories last week. "Gibson's second week in the anchor chair marked ABC World News Tonight's lowest delivery since at least the start of people meters (September, 1987)," NBC notes. Gibson anchored WNT Monday through Thursday, "during which time the broadcast averaged 7.28 million Total Viewers and a 2.1/9 among Adults 25-54," ABC says.
