Interesting thread.

Gilder is a consultant and author with unusual flair. I read his stuff in Forbes ASAP becuase I find it interesting. I would never use it to pick inverstments however. He is execllent at identifying trends, but not reliable in predicting numbers like when and how big.

He made his reputation on his famous death of Television predicition. That of course is provocative enough to to trigger popular interest.

I will follow this thread. I am an electrical engineer turned entrepreneur. However, I cant offer much on the Java and CDMA overhype - both are intersting, maybe a little ahead of real mainstream
