Mark - I posted that note on exclusivity last night of Albania as a refugee source only because CNBC was talking a lot (not CNBC - the other new NBC channel - my CNN is not working right now)about Albania, showing footage too, and they didn't mention Macedonia (FYROM).
The only footage I saw of FYROM at all looked pretty hectic. The relationship between these countries is so difficult to get worked out that it does add to the confusion. Anyway, that was my only source - MSNBC. We will, of course, be getting some people, independent journalists, over there pretty soon, and we'll probably get a better sense of what it's like.
I'm not prone toward the bleak, but I think there are more concerns here than network TV is presenting. The people of FYROM, from my understanding, truly HATE those of Greek Macedonia. And we have troops in FYROM, and Greece is an old, important ally. I have no idea whether FYROM can handle the refugees, but as I understand it (I have never been to Albania, though), Albania simply cannot provide the food necessary.
Let's hope for something - I don't even know what.
