I'm a small business consultant with no background in networking--but as an end user working with the internet at 28.8 is not going to work as more and more users come on we are grinding to a hault.

Most things I have read about ISDN is that it is a terrific technology once it is in place; it has to have its own dedicated line--can't even share with a fax line; it is costly to install; and the monthly charges can run about $35 to $40. I understand most phone companies can't even tell you what it is, and you have to live in a very specific area in order to have access to the lines--seems to be like a lot of stumbling blocks to ISDN right now. What most of the US citizens do have that has no geographical boundary is a cable line.

What if USRX makes this cable modem, it resides in our PC's and all we have to pay for is an additional cable line into our homes.

What else is any one company doing that is as compelling?
