ROSELAND, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 2003-- ADP, Employer Services division, a leading provider of integrated outsourced payroll and human resources services, announced today that Jillian's Entertainment Corporation, a recognized leader in the entertainment and restaurant industry, has leveraged ADP's Enterprise HR solution to increase its operating efficiency. ADP's Enterprise HR solution has enabled Jillian's to streamline its payroll and core HR functions by eliminating redundant, error-prone data entry while integrating payroll and HR with its back-office (general ledger) system. With a central computerized system, Jillian's overall staff productivity has increased since employee-related information can now be entered quickly, accurately and easily accessed for payroll processing and reporting.

The more than 6,000 Jillian's employees comprise a diversified and geographically dispersed workforce spread over 36 locations in 20 states. Among this workforce, 80 percent are field employees and 75 percent are hourly workers. Implementation of ADP's Enterprise HR has enhanced the efficiency and accuracy of Jillian's payroll and tax filing process. Consequently, Jillian's is able to make informed decisions on issues that affect employees and payroll as ADP provides ongoing notification of state and federal tax law changes. In addition, ADP's Enterprise HR's powerful reporting capability lets Jillian's leverage this information to quickly generate reports based on HR and management needs, such as employee salaries or a tax law change in a certain state, in dramatically less time.

The efficiencies created by outsourcing with ADP also have led to organizational changes within Jillian's payroll department. Through use of ADP's technology, Jillian's was able to re-organize the structure of its payroll department to reduce staff and focus on aligning employee programs with organizational objectives. Assisted by its new partnering relationship with ADP, Jillian's is moving forward with a plan to offer HR self-service functionality to managers and hourly employees. "Ultimately, our employees can use a Web browser and Internet access to update things like hours worked and benefits preferences--24 hours a day," says Gates.
