Here's the link to Juan Cole's post yesterday about the ME. As with much of Cole, it's possible to take a line or two out of context and beat on him. But it's important to read the full post and, even, at times, his posting history to see his intent. The language is strong but the point is one that's been around for some time: Israel's reaction was over the top and will only make matters worse. Cole's outrage flows from that. He is, apparently, not objecting to actions within the border range, given provocations. Rather the actions beyond that range. juancole.com
