I can't imagine Adobe and Macromedia merging after Altsys fought so hard to get Freehand back when Adobe took over Aldus. MACR is estimated to grow at 30 to 40% for the forseeable future. ADBE much less.

ADBE would have to pay more than it could afford for MACR. I don't see MACR buying ADBE and a merger would cause too many competing products to come under one roof.
