I have two words of advice for you.

1) You should have waited for the semis to settle, even if that meant paying slightly more.

2) Don't buy another Mac. Intel/Microsoft PCs are gaining more and more market share each year, Apple is down to about 9%. In a few years, you will have trouble finding alot of software for Macs. Everyone is getting on the PC train, most new software is written for Windows 95/NT. That trend will continue until Macs are dead.
