I followed your instruction but got the same illegal operation message. I took the following steps:

1. Uninstalling, using Win95 control panel's Removing Program
2. running regsvr32 MarketSpy.ocx
3. deleting WSX registry entry: current user/software/terence...
4. reinstalling

Don't know what caused the error message. Wonder if it happened to other users.
