Business to Business...

Congratulations to GNET in being a "first mover" in the small to midsize business hosting area. Problem is GNET has not moved to enhance that position. Promised these enhancements dating back to LAST January(1999)and they are STILL yet to be completed. GNET has lost the "first mover" advantage. IF Go2net does release this integration soon...THEY will have to really, really play it up to regain and control the momentum and thus the eyeballs on Wall Street...Hopefully they have that planned!

Witness the following:

The long overdue ecommerce Hypermart/Authorizenet.com/Haggle Auctions integration solution sha bing sha bang is getting a real lot of competition REAL FAST... and there are some heavy hitters out there who know how to MOVE on the competition( Dell vs. Compaq)

Witness this release by ExciteAthome today with regard to their deal with Dow Jones...

Key features of Work.com will include:

-- Dow Jones Business News, selected and organized by a dedicated team of
Dow Jones editors;
-- Headlines and selected stories from The Wall Street Journal at WSJ.com,
the largest paid subscription commercial site on the Web, and Barron's
Online;
-- Free and fee-based business applications including email, competitive
information and market research, file and document sharing and
collaboration tools such as the Excite Planner;
-- Personalization allowing users to select the content and applications
they want to use daily;
-- 29 vertical industry centers providing key industry information;
-- Communities by vertical industry and professional association; and
-- Front office and back office applications, including web site hosting,
customer relationship management, payroll and accounting services.

AND DEll getting into the SMALL to MEDIUM SIZE Business Hosting area...
