Not true. And no Clintonesque word games. You are mixing her with Lucy Ann Goldberg, the NY literary agent, who advised Tripp to tape Monica to protect herself from perjury changes, something she needed to do if she insisted on telling the truth. Goldberg reported on McGovern rallies but she was less a dirty trickster than those the Kennedy's hired to ruin 1960 Nixon rallies. Goldberg was also a Kennedy speechwriter.
