Hi Joe,

If Schmidt can get the stock from 8 to 15 and get the company growing again, who cares if they make the front page? Not Me!! Besides the fact that what would happen to the charts on the way to 15 would turn Novell into a momentum stock.

My biggest complaint with Novell right now is that Schmidt failed to produce a new COO as promised. My best guess is that he had a real mover and shaker lined up and the deal fell through. He shouldn't have said anything until it was a done deal.

I get a lot from your posts but I sometimes get a different meaning from the same information. I track ORCL but haven't traded it so far. IMO it would make a good addition to a mutual fund. I wonder what the press was saying about Oracle around the time Ray Lane was hired, probably the usual "struggling software company", "dissapointing earnings" type of stuff. From the article I see Ray Lane as a man that blames the loss of his first wife on changing jobs, who has found true love again and doesn't want to blow it. With $50 million and a woman he considers his perfect mate, I don't find it remarkable that he doesn't want to make any radical changes. I also see Novell attempting to recruit someone of that caliber as very positive. It's one of the major events I'm hoping to see this quarter. I play the stock market about the way cats hunt mice. I sit real still until it moves then I play with it until it stops moving. Not the kind of stuff they write books about but it seems to work OK for me.

Besides that, Alphonso is back with old news. One of my favorite indicators.

As usual my opinions are my own, represent my position and are subject to change without notice.

Regards,

Don
