Forgive me, but I am "AAPL Split Price Challenged." I think that the shares I owned by June 2 will be split by 7 and so will my cost basis. How does this differ from investors who buy AAPL during this week before the close on Friday?

This is from Apple's Investor Relations, but it still doesn't answer my question. "If you buy shares on or after the Record Date but before the Ex Date, you will purchase shares at the pre-split price and will receive (or your brokerage account will be credited with) the shares purchased. Following the split, you will receive (or your brokerage account will be credited with) the additional shares resulting from the stock split."

Thanks!
